Serve the public.
Own the system.

Use SnowBlock to builda city services site.

Model public information once — services, notices, meetings, departments — bind it to components you control, and publish without a deploy. Built for federal, state and local agencies, from one department site to a whole government.

Everything a public website needs, in one place.

Running a government website usually means a different tool for each job — one to build pages, another for translations, another for who can log in, and a contract for each. SnowBlock is all six, in a browser. Use one of them, or all six.

Build the pages residents rely on, and write everything that goes on them.

  • Build a service page by dragging sections into place
  • Write a notice once, show it on every page it affects
  • Nothing goes live until you publish it
Who works here
Communications staff, department editors, anyone who owns a page

Drag and drop. No code

Four screens,
in the order the work happens.

You do not have to visit them in this order every day — but the first time an agency site is set up, this is the sequence. Later on, most department editors live on step 4.

The settings that apply
to everything at once.

Four screens cover the work of building pages. These cover the site every department shares — set once, and every page follows.

Theme

/theme

Your agency's colors and type, applied everywhere at once, in light and dark.

  • Edit light and dark separately, and choose which one visitors get.
  • Preview against a real page from your site, not a swatch.
  • Anything you leave alone keeps the platform default.

Languages

/languages

Serve residents in several languages, with the URLs to match.

  • Each language gets its own drafts, review and publish.
  • A change that would take URLs down is itemized, and waits for you.
  • Removing a language keeps the translations for when it comes back.

Images & files

Upload once, served fast, from anywhere in the product.

  • Every image field behaves the same way, wherever it appears.
  • Files go straight to the CDN; the public address is stored for you.
  • Each site gets its own folder, so one department's files never mix with another's.

Access

/users

The same person can be an editor on one department's site and an administrator on another.

  • Scope and role are chosen together at the invite, never "assign later".
  • Permissions are fine-grained: publish without delete, read theme without edit.
  • You can only grant what you hold — and the server checks again on save.

Learn it once.
It behaves the same everywhere.

These are not separate features. They are the same behavior on every screen — which is why the product can be handed to a new department editor, or a new contractor, without a training day.

Draft, then publish
Nothing you save is live until you publish it. Save as often as you like, including half-finished.
History everywhere
Blueprints, documents and pages each keep a version log. Compare against what is live, and restore into a draft — never straight onto the site.
Live preview
Pages, documents and the theme all preview against your real site as you work, not against a mock-up.
Checked before, not after
Duplicate addresses, missing required fields and clashing URLs are reported while you type, and again on the server when you publish.
Destructive things ask
Anything that would take live URLs offline, delete keys or overwrite a page says what it will affect — with counts — and waits for a clear yes.
Errors name the thing
Not “4 of 5 published”. Which document, which field, which page already has that address.
You see what you can use
Screens and actions you have no permission for are simply not there, and every one is re-checked on the server.
Every language, everywhere
Content, pages and SEO are all per-language, with their own drafts and their own publish.
